Using Certificates of Completion to Motivate Your Team
CBT Nuggets Certificates of Completion are a great way for learners to prove that they've successfully completed a training course. Certificates also are a valuable tool for managers to track their team's progress.
For team training managers, certificates of completion are a concrete way to validate a team's training progress, providing easy-to-quantify benchmarks.
As mentioned in our blog post earlier this week, an effective training program starts with establishing goals and ends with reporting progress, using the data from your training dashboard and advanced individualized metrics from accountability coaches.
Certificates enable you to quickly and easily identify all the courses individuals have completed (or not completed).
How does my team earn certificates of completion?
Your team members earn a certificate of completion every time they view a course in its entirety. CBT Nuggets provides you the ability to track a learner's progress and record the minutes that they have watched from beginning to end.
Once they've viewed every course, the account will reflect the course's completion and a printable PDF certificate of completion is generated.

A CBT certificate of completion isn't an industry-approved certification, but it demonstrates that an employee is serious about training, as well as taking the steps necessary to validate his/her knowledge and skills.
For a team manager, completing courses can either be the end goal, or a step toward a larger goal (like a certification). Certificates mark an end to one training plan, so you can quickly transition your team to meeting their next training goal.
