This foundational knowledge can be put to use immediately by anyone working in networking or the physical parts of IT.

Who should take this server hardware installation course?

Systems administrators, network technicians, network administrators, service desk technicians, field service reps, even non-technical professionals – the list of who could benefit from this course goes on and on. If the job you have or that you want to have has anything at all to do with servers, data centers, or making networks work properly, you should take this course.

Is this training in installing and deploying server hardware associated with any certifications?

Although this course is a great introduction to some of the hardware and installation topics that can be found on CompTIA's IT Fundamentals+ and Network+, this course isn't meant to be only exam prep. This course is first and foremost an easy and approachable introduction to the hardware that makes networks possible and how to install and deploy them.

What certification should you consider after taking this course in installing and deploying server hardware?

The IT Fundamentals+ (ITF+) from CompTIA is an entry-level cert that covers a huge range of topics and demonstrates you're ready for a career in IT – hardware installation is an important part of its exam. Network+ (also from CompTIA) is more specialized and more advanced, and also includes sections on hardware installation.

You should take this course so that you understand servers, server rooms, racks, and all the other hardware that makes servers and data centers work. It doesn't matter if you're an IT student, experienced sysadmin or manager, you should know how your network's hardware physically functions if you ever want to master it completely.
